HISTORY & BACKGROUND
The formation of the Association of Construction Project Managers (ACPM) was initiated in early 1998 at the request of South African Property Owners Association (SAPOA) and Property Owners Council of South Africa (PROCSA). This was as a result of an everincreasing use of Project Management Services in both the local and international building industries in the 90s.
On the 09 May 2000 after all preparatory work, the Association of Construction Project Managers (ACPM) was launched. The ACPM was relaunched ON 25 October 2005 and several achievements were highlighted, including amongst others legal ratification of the Code of Professional Conduct, and regional representation within the provinces.
