Email Jedd Grimbeek (PrCPM, MACPM) holds a BSc. Building Management Degree with 31yrs experience in the industry. He is currently the Managing Director of a dedicated project management company in Cape Town, Mitchell du Plessis Projects (Pty) Ltd (aka MDA Projects). He is a highly experienced built environment professional who has accumulated more than 30 years’ experience spanning both local and international markets and covering both the consulting and construction contracting ends of the spectrum.
Jedd specializes as a registered professional project manager and development consultant and has led, delivered and participated in some of the most prominent and complex projects undertaken in Cape Town, South Africa, and internationally. These projects include the V&A Waterfront Marina Residential Development, the MyCiTi Integrated Rapid Transit System, Phase 1, the Phase 1 Cape Town International Convention Centre, the Aurum Presidential & Luxury Residences, the Harbour Bay Medical Facility, Century City Canal Walk Shopping Centre, the Shangri-La Hotel in Taipei, and HSBC Hong Kong Peak Residences.
Jedd is passionate about the development of the Cape Town built environment landscape, as evidenced by his leadership of the winning bid for the subsequently cancelled Cape Town Foreshore Freeway request for proposals issued by the City of Cape Town.
He has a keen interest in the upliftment of the project management profession, and as such is an active participant in built environment professional associations, including the Western Cape Property Development Forum (WCPDF), as well as the South African Association of Construction Project Managers (ACPM) where he holds the position of Deputy-President.
