Strategy Session

The Association of Construction Project Managers will be celebrating 25 years this year. The Exco has then decided to just go back to the drawing board in order to reposition the ACPM for 2023 and beyond. The aim is really to reflect honestly on achievements and challenges to date. This will assist in the process of reviewing and repositioning the ACPM for 2023 and beyond given the dynamic changes experienced globally. We further seek to have collaborative partnerships and agreements that will be of benefit to individual and corporate members. The approach will be to strengthen relations in African countries where the members currently operate as a priority with the intention further to expand beyond the continent.

OBJECTIVES OF THE ROADMAP SESSION

The main objective of this session is to develop a road map for achieving the objectives of ACPM and how it should impact and take a leadership role in the industry. The session aims to set the context for and facilitate the strategic conversations that will guide the ACPM process. Through the session, we hope to determine the issues and priorities that will inform the strategic direction of the ACPM for 2023 and beyond:

• The problems we need to address

• The critical issues we should respond to

• The goal and objectives we want to achieve

• The capacity of the ACPM to achieve them with the assistance of individual and corporate members

• The priorities taking into consideration the available resources
