1. BUSINESS CASE – describe the business case for the project/company, identify the strategic objectives that the project was to achieve and how these were measured 2. DESCRIPTION - A description of the Project outlining the complexity of the Project and why this project can be considered exceptional. 3. OVERVIEW – Describe the project and the project management. Ensure that the adjudicators are able to determine that a) the project realized the strategy, delivered end-user benefit and displayed application of project management practices and b) that the project and/or project management practices were exceptional in some way. 4. SCOPE - Scope of Project Management services for which you were appointed e.g. PM, PA, PC 5. COMPLEXITY - Any unusual circumstances that required special management team action and/or performance e.g. did the project require phasing, were there ‘critical’ deadlines, embargo dates etc 6. INNOVATION- Fulfillment, creativity and uniqueness of the applied project management principles and techniques including innovative application of project management methods. 7. TECHNICAL - The technical aspects and support of the project management profession through the effective application of the recommended SACPCMP scope of services. 8. FINANCIAL VIABILITY/COST EFFECTIVENESS – were the projected financial benefits achieved and was the project a commercial success? 9. END RESULTS & BENEFITS – Describe the overall project outcome, benefits realized, end-user acceptance and lessons learned. 10. UNIQUE CHARACTERISTICS – which could cover factors such as community enhancement, environmental aspects, empowerment, job creation, the application of ‘green’ principles & sustainability. What made this project different, special, better than the norm. What makes it exceptional?
